Gene has lived in Frankfort since 1966, the same year the funeral home was opened. With changing times, he is now consulting and offering his services using other funeral home facilities that are available to us in surrounding communities. He has served as President of the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, Frankfort Lions Club, and Frankfort Fire Protection District. He has also served as chairman of numerous committees, and has been very involved in the community in which he lives. Gene and Gerardi Funeral Home have been issued numerous plaques and awards from prestigious groups such as The Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Illinois Funeral Directors Association, The Funeral Ethics Association, as well as the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce.
